The other day while thrifting, I came upon this wreath...
Not my taste with grapes and plaid ribbon...
but with a little tender loving care..
it has potential!
What is so nice about this wreath is that there is a lot of greenery.. and it only cost me $2.50!!
So, with a trip to the Dollar tree ( one of my most favorite places!!), I'm ready to start the recreation!
What you will need:
Flowers (I picked a couple different colors and types)
Glue gun and glue sticks
Ribbon
Scissors
Wire cutters
I first removed all the extra items from wreath that I didn't want..
I then cut flowers off of their stems leaving about an inch. Now with the flowers.. I placed them around the wreath in patterns of three's. Groups of three are pleasing to the eye!! Once I had the placing the way I wanted... I started glueing. I found it worked better to put the glue right onto the end of the flowers stem and then just stick it where I wanted it. After the flowers where glued on I made a bow (I had to look up instructions on bow making.. I am the worst), after bow was made I glued it on.
To hang it, I looped a piece of ribbon front to back and tied a knot.. so simple!
I'm very pleased on how it turned out and at a grand total of $5.50.. I'm very pleased on its price!!
So the next time that you are at a thrift store, take a look around.. you never know what your going to find!!!
